Correspondence Reveal Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon Relationship

Steve Bannon
Bannon was one of Trump's key strategists prior to resigning from the administration in 2017

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK to deliver a speech at the Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, who was due to travel that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed my talk don't think I can make the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an excellent assistant".

These exchanges were published on this week together with more than 20,000 pages from the records of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets managed to confirm his identity by matching the dates, occurrences, and places referenced.

For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and delivered the speech at the Oxford on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of the president's key aides in the lead-up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his first administration, but stepped down from the administration in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was making a documentary about Epstein prior to his death and reportedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his show recently, he said: "We plan to release the series, the multi-part documentary, next year - at the start of next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the disgraced financier occasionally appearing to serve like a aide.

A few days before the exchange in which Epstein seemed to booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the most highly paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein replied "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "AD" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you're taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Exchanges

The published messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in 2018.

Earlier on the same day his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this morning with Nigel, Johnson and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to the UK prime minister, the embattled British leader at the period, he continued: "They are trying to proceed. may soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can in the UK. Ideal- so others see the dedication of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa May survive". Bannon replied: "I don't see how however the guys over here have no balls" and noted "Boris ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to take charge".

Theresa May was finally removed in 2019 after surviving two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for the political party informed media: "Nigel Farage has not been in a meeting with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting took place.

The Congress will vote soon on whether the Department of Justice should release all its files related to its probe into Epstein, who died in jail in 2019.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited recently after the publication of more than 20,000 pages from his estate.

Some of those mentioned the former president, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they fell out in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested.
