Assassin's Creed Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden group.
The mission focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Extra Content
Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Newest Free Story Content
This update also adds the game's newest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
